  1. Dear Maggie My daughter Georgina is your number one fan! She has been feverishly following you in the vein of your once-distant admiration of Mrs Burnstein since we lived on London a few years ago and senses a soulmate inevitably bound between these two amazing countries. We are now back in Brisbane and she has made me purchase tickets to see you at Noosa next weekend. She wants to be a writer! She even went to Oxford last summer to study English literature. To that end she is currently the editor of her school literary magazine – Stylus – and told me she would love to interview you for the magazine, but is too shy to ask (like many writers she lends too much towards the introspective…). So, as any good mother I am asking on her behalf. Could she interview you for 10 minutes during your time swanning around beautiful Noosa?? I understand if your too busy. We shall see you at the lunch either way.

    Kind regards
    Annette Quayle

    • Hi Annette
I’m so sorry I’ve only just found this comment – although I do remember meeting you at the lunch! What a shame I didn’t know about her interview idea, I would have been so happy to do it. Could we speak on the phone while I’m here? If she contacted Jane Finemore, from Harper Collins , who was with me in Noosa, we could see if we could set up a time? Jane’s number is 0408 463873. I’ll tell her what it’s about. Thanks so much for coming to Noosa. best Maggie x
